This 7 weeks course is for those new to yoga or those that want to refresh their knowledge on the basics of yoga. Over the 7 weeks you will learn postures to build strength and flexibility, to connect with your breath and how to relax deeply to calm and quieten the mind. I would encourage that you attend all 7 weeks as there is a progression that flows from one week to the next to build an understanding of yoga and how it works for you.

Week 1 – awareness of your breath and focus on connecting your breath with your movement
Week 2 – understand the concept of Yield and your posture
Week 3 – learn about your spine and the importance of spinal movement
Week 4 – learn and feel what is your core and how to engage it
Week 5 – understand back bends and that you can enjoy them!
Week 6 – bring all of the past class together
Week 7 – Restore – slow down and experience the benefits and openness Restorative brings to the body and mind
