Yoga Introduction Courses 2019
This 6 weeks course is for those new to yoga or those that want to refresh their knowledge on the basics of yoga. Over the 6 weeks you will learn postures to build strength and flexibility, to connect with your breath and how to relax deeply to calm and quieten the mind. I would encourage that you attend all 6 weeks as there is a progression that flows from one week to the next to build an understanding of yoga and how it works for you.
Week 1 – awareness of your breath and focus on connecting your breath with your movement
Week 2 – understand the concept of Yield and your posture
Week 3 – learn about your spine and the importance of spinal movement
Week 4 – learn and feel what is your core and how to engage it
Week 5 – understand back bends and that you can enjoy them
Week 6 – bring all of the past class together
If you do miss a class then you can attend one of the beginners or general classes within the 8 week expiry date of your course ticket.
The course is an opportunity to introduce yourself gently into a yoga practice, with an open friendly atmosphere and time to ask questions, so you can have a clearer understanding of your practice.
