Big thanks to Rachel for her amazing Mandala Meditation Workshop
It was a wonderful afternoon shared with fun and supportive people.
Rachel helped many of us discover or rediscover how creative we can be, as we all produced individual and beautiful mandala art works.
I realise there are many that were disappointed they missed the workshop, but don’t despair we hope to get Rachel back for more next year.

This Months Focus is Meditation for Relaxation & Self-Care

Modern life has us rushing around, with many people finding it difficult to relax and practice self-care. Explore simple meditation techniques for relaxation that you can use in stressful situations or when you need to wind down at night. Taking time for ourselves is critical for everybody’s health and well-being. Do you need to take a little time for self-care? This workshop is a great way to kick-start a self-care practice or to regain focus if you haven’t done it for a while. When we take care of our needs, supporting others becomes easier.

Each session will include an introduction, some discussions, 2-3 meditations, some gentle stretching and intention setting for the month. Herbal tea and some healthy nibbles provided.

Chakra Workshop with Annette Shelley

This 2 hour workshop explores the Chakras through yoga, meditation, sound and movement meditation. The yoga is gentle with a focus on the Chakras and breath work.
Discover the Eastern and Western perspective of Chakras and the relevance in our daily lives.

She has gained ‘Perfect Health’ Certification through the Chopra University which enables her to share information on living a balanced Ayurvedic lifestyle and also has a special interest in Chakras and their correlation in both Eastern and Western medicine.
With her in depth knowledge of the bodies subtle energy system, this will be one not to miss

How to Find YOUR Perfect Downward Facing Dog

Adho mukha svanasana, or downward facing dog, is one of the most frequented posture in yoga—especially vinyasa classes.

Many teachers often refer to downdog as a “resting posture,” which may sound absurd to those who struggle to hold the position. But when practiced regularly, with healthy alignment, downdog may really start to feel almost effortless as you use the structure of your skeletal system to support the weight of your body.

In Ashtanga yoga, the gaze is traditionally focused toward the belly button in downdog.

Exciting news for Keen on Yoga with 2 new teachers and 2 new classes this term!

Weekly Meditation Classes with Kama Gore
On Friday nights 6pm to 7pm 
running for 5 weeks starting next Friday the 8th of June

What to expect:
Sessions go for approximately 50-60 mins, but don’t worry, you wont be sitting still and meditating all that time! We will be sitting in chairs but if you like to use a meditation cushion or stool, you are welcome to.
As a guide, the sessions may include an introduction, some quick easy stretches and 2 meditations – to add to your ‘meditation toolbox’. Sometimes we will have time for discussion in-between. Our aim is to have you leave feeling refreshed and relaxed, and ready to make meditation part of your life for the better.
Some will be simple guided meditations where you follow the voice of the Leader, and some will give your mind a bit of a workout – helping you to become more aware of your thoughts and feelings. The teachings are non-religious, but many stem from ancient teachings of Buddhism, Hindi and other traditions. Everyone is welcome. You can read more about the classes and what to expect HERE
